Does it pay to be a member? Just ask mark.

Mark was wrongfully fired from his job on June 10th, 2005. So his local lodge set out to help him out. The local lodge filed a grievence on his behalf stating his was wrongfully fired and was to be reinstated and to be made whole for all losses. Management denied the grievence and that was when the District 77 stepped in. The grievence was deined the next to steps so off to arbitration we went. The arbitrion was in the early part of November (when we were on strike). DBR Gary Schmidt came well prepared.

It took until January 10th 2006 to get the answer back form the arbitrator. It was what Mark wanted to hear. He is t o be reinstated and to be made whole for all losses. Count the months, they way I figure that is seven months of back pay.

After what happened with our strike this news sure helped raise the spirits, that the union still can win a battle
